Healthwatch York create a Mental Health and Wellbeing guide which lists all the local services and have proved useful for many carers.

Our door will always be open until every woman in our area feels safe, supported and able to be the person they always wanted to be. Our purpose is to provide non-judgmental support and information to all women. Whatever their reason for seeking help, we recognise that women face challenges in their lives that can be distinct from those of men. Our services are tailored to support women to make the changes they need to improve their lives, at their own pace.

Local Area Coordinators work with individuals and families of all ages and abilities. They take time to get to know you, your family, friends, carers and your community, so they can help you to build a strong support network.

Local Area Coordinators help you stay safe, well, independent and connected to your local community by:

  • helping raise awareness of available resources
  • providing links to local services
  • supporting people with a wide range of issues
  • developing resilience and social inclusion in communities

We bring men together to socialise, exercise, enjoy themselves, talk and let off steam in a non-judgmental, friendly and supportive environment. These are all essential for physical and mental wellbeing.

York’s Young People Survival Guide is our website and provides information to any young person living in York up to age 25.

RAY works with refugees, asylum seekers and migrants from within and around the City of York.  We provide a safe meeting point where people can seek information and support, learn new skills and languages and form lasting friendships. Through providing this support we hope to empower individuals to assist them in rebuilding their lives.

Yormind is here to honestly guide you about where you can get info and support for your mental health in York.
