How do I know if I am a young adult carer?

If you’re aged 18–25 and support a family member or friend with a physical or mental illness, disability or addiction, you’re a young adult carer. You can access our support if you live in York or care for someone who does.

Register as a young adult carer

If you’re an unpaid carer in York, or the person you support lives here, you can register with us for free help. This includes information and advice, someone to talk to, activities, a Carers Discount Card, a Carers Emergency Card, and regular newsletters and e-bulletins.
