Get involved

We provide a focal point for unpaid carers of all ages in the York area and offer them support, information, advice and activities.  All of the services we offer are aimed to improve the quality of life of unpaid carers by helping them through the difficulties they experience and reduce isolation imposed on them by their demanding caring role.

How you can help?

Could you give a donation or a little of your time to fundraise or volunteer regularly? Perhaps you would like to become a member or a Trustee or consider leaving a legacy to support our work.

If you decide to get involved you will be helping to improve the quality of life of people affected by their caring role in the York area, thank you.

Comments from carers about our York Carers Centre

  • “Your support has been a lifeline”
  • “Many thanks for all you have done, it has made a difficult part of my life easier”
  • “I never feel alone with my problems while I have this kind of support”

We need your help to reach out to more carers like these and particularly to focus on “hard to reach” carers who may be isolated, are looking after someone with complex needs, and who are at risk themselves from physical and/or mental health issues.
