Carer Awareness Training (via zoom)

28/10/2020 11:00 am - 1:00 pm |

We are currently offering our face to face training sessions via zoom,  where professionals can come and learn more about carers and the support available for unpaid carers across the city. This will increase your understanding of carers, their role and its effect on their lives.

It is an opportunity to explore how we as professionals or employers can help to identify carers early; recognise carers as partners in care;  and help carers to maintain their own health and wellbeing.

The session will include a presentation, share information around current carer issues (such as Covid-19/isolation), engage in discussions, a quiz and share links to carer films on YouTube.  One of our volunteer Carer Champions will share experiences of being a carer.

Courses will run regularly throughout the year.

Contact to book: sam.varo@nhs.net   or 01904 551 773

All sessions are currently taking place on Zoom so will require a suitable device and internet connection.
