Christmas Wreath Making Workshop

This free, creative wreath making workshop is just for carers and is designed to support wellbeing.

Join us to make a natural, evergreen and willow wreath with support provided so you can work at your own pace. No experience necessary.

York Mental Health Carers Group - Christmas Party at Middletons Hotel!

The York Mental Health Carers Group Christmas Party takes place at Middletons Hotel.

Join us for food, live music and chatting to other carers and our staff at this informal event.

Regular members and new carers are very welcome.

The group is run in partnership with charity Rethink Mental Illness York Group and is for anyone who cares for someone with a mental health condition. It usually takes place at 30 Clarence Street from 7-9pm on the second Wednesday of the month.

 

 

Acomb Hub at Acomb Explore

Acomb Hub has moved – we will be in Acomb Explore, for the October, November, December hubs.

Monthly hub for carers to get together in the local community; take a break and have a chat, share skills and learn something new, gain support and information and have fun.

You are welcome to bring the person you care for. No need to book.

Substance Misuse Support Group

An opportunity for carers affected by substance misuse to come for a coffee and a chat about what’s going on for them, seek advice, information and guidance.

No need to book if you have been before.

Mental Health Carer Drop In

In conjunction with the York Mind Health and Wellbeing programme, we’re offering an informal monthly drop-in for carers of someone with mental ill health.

Venue: Slug and Lettuce Swinegate, our group will be located near the Grape Lane entrance.

The sessions are aimed at people who are:

  • caring for younger people in transition to adult mental health services
  • in the early stages of caring
  • in crisis

The sessions are for carers only and are informal and supportive.

Carers will need to enrol with York Mind before attending the drop in for the first time.
