Carers Assessment/Review Clinics

An opportunity for carers or professionals to come and find out more about the Carers Assessment and Review processes. This is a drop in session where you can meet the staff from York Carers Centre and City of York Council and can ask any questions that you have about Carers Assessments of Need. No need to book.

Substance Misuse Support Group

An opportunity for carers affected by substance misuse to drop in for a coffee and a chat about what’s going on for them, seek advice, information and guidance. No need to book if you have been before.

If you are new to our service, please phone 01904 715490 to book a 20 minute appointment with the group facilitator before the session.

Haxby Carers Hub

Carers Café

Our Carers Café is a monthly coffee morning for carers take place on the first Wednesday of each month at it’s new home of St. Sampson’s Centre, York.

This is an opportunity for carers to drop in for a break and a chat and meet other carers. Come along and join us for a drink and a teacake.

Please feel free to bring the person you care for if you wish. There is no cost.

The Centre is wheelchair accessible.

A Carer Support Worker will always be there to talk to, and a member of the York Mental Health Carers Group will be there for additional peer support.

Caring for Someone with Dementia
