Wellbeing Hub: Creative Writing

Friday 24 May from 10am to 12pm at Friends Meeting House, Lower Friargate, York.

Sessions are on Friday 10, 17 and 24 May. You are welcome to attend any one or all of these sessions and no experience of creative writing is necessary.

You will be guided by writer Emma McKenzie through creating and making stories using a range of techniques including sketching with words.  Please bring a notebook and pen/pencil.

A series of six cookery and nutrition sessions for carers who would like to learn basic cookery skills, using delicious and affordable foods to benefit health and wellbeing.

Carers Café

Our Carers Café is a friendly, monthly coffee morning for carers which takes place on the first Wednesday of each month at St. Sampson’s Centre, York.

This is an opportunity for carers of any age to drop in for a chat and meet other carers. Come along and join us for a drink and a teacake.

Please feel free to bring the person you care for if you wish. There is no cost.

The Centre is wheelchair accessible.

A Carer Support Worker will always be there to talk to.

Carers Week Boat Trip

On Wednesday 12 June you are invited to join us for a cruise on the river Ouse from 3pm to 5pm on board the River Duchess.

The boat is accessible and refreshments will be provided.

Places are limited so book yours by contacting us on 01904 715490 or enquiries@yorkcarerscentre.co.uk before the end of May.

You are also welcome to book a place for the person you care for.
