Caring for someone can be a significant part of your life. When your caring role comes to an end it can bring many changes and you can experience a range of emotions. There may also be various practical and financial things to consider.

If you are registered with us, please let us know when your caring role comes to an end.  You can stay registered with us for another year and continue to access our services. If you need support at this difficult time, do get in touch with us.

If the person you care for moves into a residential home your caring role will change but not necessarily end.  It is helpful to let us know, however, you can stay registered with us as a carer.

End of life

If you are caring for someone who has been diagnosed with a life limiting illness you might find it helpful to have some extra support.
St Leonards Hospice offers carers support through their Wellbeing and Outreach services. They also offer respite for carers where there is a life limiting diagnosis, through the Carer Support Service, which we can refer into.

If you would like to talk to someone about support during this time, please contact us on 01904 715490 or email enquiries@yorkcarerscentre.co.uk
