Caring and Coping sessions in August
In August we’ll be running a series of free Caring and Coping sessions (via zoom), covering a range of topics chosen to support your own well being as a carer.
Each session is stand alone, so you can just book onto the individual session/s that you choose.
All sessions will run from 11am to 12.30pm with a 30 mins available afterwards for additional questions.
- 3 August: Talking about Loss with Kathy Collinson, bereavement counsellor. A supportive session to discuss feelings of loss or grief of any sort.
- 10 August: 5 Ways to Wellbeing with Amanda Longstaff from Peace of Mind. The session will look at how we can manage stress, improve resilience and try to maintain a positive mindset in a chaotic world. You will also have the opportunity to experience a guided visualisation which is a method that can be helpful when we are feeling overwhelmed.
- 17 August: Let’s Talk about Food with Sabine Horner, nutritionist from Asana Nutrition. Interactive session with cooking demonstration and Q&A about the basic facts you need to know about food to help you look after yourself and improve your energy levels, mental focus and mood.
- 24 August: Talking about Loss with Kathy Collinson, bereavement counsellor. The session will include EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), positivity and a discussion about bereavement, grief and loss
