Talkback is a voluntary, self advocacy organisation for anyone with a Learning Disability. If also supports family carers to have their own voice.
As part of the funding recently awarded by York Valuing People Partnership Board for people with learning disabilities and carers Talkback will be offering support to family carers.
This is an important time for Carers in York and Talkback wants to work in Partnership with all other agencies involved with family carers. A priority area in Valuing People now is supporting family carers. Talkback is committed to giving family carers a voice and supporting them to advocate for themselves so that they can be involved in the planning and delivery of services that affect them and the people they care for.
