Nominate someone for the regional Carer’s Award

Posted in
Great Britian Care Awards logoThe Great Yorkshire & Humberside Care Awards celebrate excellence across the care sector. One of the awards at this event is the Carer’s Award. This recognises the phenomenal contribution made by unpaid carers across the Yorkshire and Humberside region.   The award will be given to an unpaid carer who in the opinion of judges demonstrates commitment and perseverance in the care they give.

Six million people a year provide unpaid care to either a relative, friend or child who is ill, frail or disabled. This award seeks to acknowledge and celebrate the dedication that carers give to those they care for and the incredible contribution they make.

Gala dinner

The awards will host a spectacular gala dinner at the National Railway Museum in York on Friday 12 November. Last year’s event was enjoyed by 700 guests.

City of York Council will also be staging its own celebration event to acknowledge nominated carers from within York, probably in late September or early October.
