Coloured pencilsWould you like a chance to meet other carers?

Could you do with a break from caring for a few hours?

York Carers Centre are running free art workshops for carers at Room One at Burton Stone Lane Community Centre during January and February.

They will be held on:

  • Monday 16 January from 1.30 to 3.30pm,
  • Monday 23 January from 1.30 to 3.30pm,
  • Monday 30 January from 1.30 to 3.30pm, and
  • Monday 6 February from 1.30 to 3.30pm.
The workshops are a chance to try your hand at something creative, starting off with drawing during the first workshop. You can also have a chat with Mary about what you would like to create during the following 3 weeks. The workshops are open to all carers and don’t worry if you’re not very “arty” – just come and have a go.

The room is accessible and tea and coffee with be available.

Book a place on the workshops

If you would like to book a place on the workshops please ring us on 01904 715490 and let us have your name and contact details.  Ideally we’d like you to be able to attend all four workshops but do still get in touch if you can only come to three.   Places are limited so please book as soon as possible.

We are open Monday to Thursday, 9am to 5pm but please note that the Centre is closed over Christmas and New Year.  We close at 5pm on Thursday 22 December 2011 and we won’t re-open until 9am on Tuesday 3 January 2012.  During this period we will not be checking the answerphone or taking bookings.
