You're invited to our AGM on Friday 16 September 2011
We are holding York Carers Centre's Annual General Meeting (AGM) at 7pm on Friday 16 September 2011, at York CVS on Priory Street (15 Priory Street, York, North Yorkshire YO1 6ET). The AGM is a chance to:
- find out about York Carers Centre’s work over the past year.
- elect the Board of Trustees
- approve the year’s accounts
- hear from Carole, our new Manager
If you’d like to vote or speak at the meeting, you’ll need to be an official member of the charity. You can easily join for the next year by paying £1 on the night. (Don’t worry, this has nothing to do with using the York Carers Centre’s services, it’s simply about who can participate in the meetings.) Any members who can’t make it are welcome to nominate somebody else to attend in their place – just let us know. Please ring us on 01904 715490 if you would like to attend the AGM.
York Memory Walk
On Sunday 25 September 2011, at York Knavesmire, the Alzheimers Society is hosting the Flagship Memory Walk for Yorkshire. The walk is a chance for people of all abilities to raise money to fund local services and support people affected by dementia. There are 3 walks to choose from, all leaving Bustardthorpe Field on the Knavesmire. For more information visit www.memorywalk.org.ul/york
Do you need help setting up your computer?
IT Can Help is a network of volunteers who offer free local computer help to disabled people. They can diagnose and fix most computer related problems; install and set up hardware, software, internet, email and accessibility settings. They don’t provide training or software but they will answer questions and give impartial advice. All volunteers are CRB checked and most have a background in the IT industry.
